Haha, exactly Smile In the old version of Raven that I included a screenshot of, I got hit by one of my "bad" powerups, which keeps you in one place for a little while. So, a "stop" powerup, maybe a "slower shooting" powerup?
Definitely, at least those if not more. Smile I think the main problem with a lot of powerups is having the icons be distinct enough that the player can avoid the bad ones, unless you don't want them to be able to tell ahead of time.
Yeah, that was a big problem I ran into with the old one. By having it be a "square" with a white "square" inside it, and then the icon inside that... it left me with a 4x4 space Sad I think I'm going to stick with maybe a line on top and bottom, and a white line between them, and the have 8x4 area to make it with.

That sounds like a plan. If you wanted to keep 4x4, you could make all the good powerups look the same, and all the bad powerups look the same, but I am in favor of distinct looks for each if you are.
I definitely am. I ended up kinda getting powerups to move... unless they hit the ground... x.x I think I missed a pop, or a push because I seem to be editing the stack somehow. (When I leave DCS, the cursor is now an arrow up with an underscore, which to me indicates stack messing up.) It also could have something to do with how all my loops are very hacky x.x I don't seem to have a definite way to figure out what I need to compare HL to after the looping is "done", I'll get it eventually, even if it is guess and check.
If you need help with stack levels in routines, you could try my BranchMap program, which tries to help solve the headaches associated with tracking down control paths like that.
