22 / 7?

I took a pie to school and gave everyone a piece for pi day. I only know 3,14152926 lol.

To get more digits from the calc: go to stat edit, put pi in some list element. That's the most you can get i think.

In my school, we had to take the ACTs on 3/14 so we celebrated today. My math teacher gave everyone a piece of pi and there was a competition to see who memorized the most digits of pi. I got 3rd with:
3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937510582097494459230781

the winner had 1,026 (would've been over 1200 if she hadn't missed 1 number, all the rest were right)

I used this program to get to my current record.

@Leofox: That's true, if you don't want to use some basic/ASM algorithm.

You got 3rd!? I don't remember pi past 3.141592!

Edit: I suppose that's because I'm in calculus and whenever we use pi we use the Greek letter 'pi' instead of calculating with an approximated decimal... Even so, the most digits I've ever had to use for pi was 3.141592

I didn't do a a thing on Pi Day. I do think it is impressive that someone dug this up from over 3 years ago. We are quite awesome in the way we handle your data here at UnitedTI!

Ordinary I dismiss any gloom-and-doom, end-of-TI-as-we-know-it talk, but I will admit to being somewhat disturbed by the lack of Pi day activity, a fine and long-standing tradition around these parts...anyway, I hope you celebrated somehow. Eat a pie in tribute! Yes, the WHOLE thing.

EDIT: Happy Birthday, Albert Einstein!

Hehe, I made a program at 10:30 this morning to help me remember some digits of pi... I went from only knowing 12 or 13 to knowing 64 in an hour. Still, the winner for reciting digits of pi, here, did 703 digits. The runner up did 167.

Well, I must say I was impressed. My last comment was in 2007 saying I was impressed that someone found this from 3 years ago.

Well, now I am impressed someone dug this up from 7 years ago!

WOW!!!!!

Thanks everyone for sticking with us.
