I think it's time to push this project through to completion. Here are my proposals:
-Eliminate Enemies
-Eliminate Story
-Add More puzzles, and a more mazey map (some puzzles that don't really lead anywhere)
-More puzzle mechanics
-Lots of minigames

Thoughts?

I second that motion. Everything we have up till now would still work. Just need to add to it.

I play the Necropost coupled with a "Bytes Recycler" to bring both this topic/forum and program back from the graveyard.

Well, I started editing Protocol to make it more puzzle oriented. So far, not hard. I just removed the EMP and modified one or two rooms. I would suggest we leave the laser in, so we can use it in future puzzles.

That sounds good. I think I'll put my other RPG down for a couple weeks and try to work a lot more on this project. Tomorrow I'll brainstorm some other puzzle mechanics we can use and try to code them in.

It's summer now and I have some free time. If I got the latest version of the code, I would be interested in trying to help again.

If it's not too much to ask. Could you possibly not send it in group format. The mac version of Ti-Connect doesn't handle them very well and neither does wabbitemu.

Okay. except, I can't find a way to send you the pics. The compression doesn't like them.
The best I've come up with is this:
http://www.luby.unitedti.org/project/protocol/Pic1.8xi
http://www.luby.unitedti.org/project/protocol/Pic2.8xi
http://www.luby.unitedti.org/project/protocol/Pic3.8xi

You might have to rename them to pic 110,111,112, I think.

I still was not able to transfer the pics to my calc, but I was able to transfer them to wabbitemu. They were already lbl'd 110,111,112. So I used xLib to store them into pics 1,2,3 then sent them to my calc and then transfered them back to their proper numbers.

After all of this, I still can't tell what program to run to start.

What else still needs to be done with the project?

Edit: I can't get the program MAPS to transfer to my calc. I am assuming this one is really big and holds all of the data for the different maps.

Hmm.. you do kind of need maps for it to run. What error are you getting??

The weirdest thing just happened. I was actually able to send prgmMAPS to my calc when I tried it again to see what error message it was creating.

Edit:
I figured out what the problem with the group is. The mac version of TI-Connect is stupid. It tries to be smart and when you send a group to the calc it ungroups it and then sends the original files. There is no option whatsoever to send the group as a group to the calc.

Unfortunately when I sent the files to wabbitemu and changed the pics, I failed to realize that I cannot transfer the files to my computer.

Could you possibly save those pics as 1,2, and 3 (don't just change the filename, save them on your calc and then retransfer.)

This should be it.
note: since the calc doesn't care what we call them on the computer, I renamed them 110,111,112 instead of their weird other names, but anyway, pic0 is 110, pic1 is 111 and pic 2 is 112
