Has anyone else noticed that I am getting flooded by bots? I went into my admin CP today and I had about 300 new bot visit definitions pending approval. Shock

Yep. Sometimes I see two MSN bots on at the same time.
Inktomi seems to be my latest flooder; before it was only Google and to a lesser extent MSN.
which would explain why bots move about half the traffic on my site, everytime I post here there are two links to my site

Hmm... I always see either a google, msn, or yahoo slurp bot in my daily records... Ask Jeeves has started showing up occasionally...
In my bot manager in the admin cp (now available from the regular cemetech acp for you admins) Google visits more than once every two hours! Shock And MSN has started doing the same thing.
Once a week for me, they seem to cache all of my pages...
Yeah, same here. For some reason the webarchiver refuses to archive this site though, even though Alexa indexes it. Razz

Yup, figured that out too.
Oh, and apparently the archive doesn't start archiving sites until 6-12 months after it appears on Alex. :S

Yeah, that's why I prefer Google. Here's a fun little thing for all you FF users; go to Manage Bookmarks, new bookmark toolbars bookmark, and enter this for location:
