Looking through the members list, I've seen a lot of people who made a typo in the username when they first registered, so they register another account. I'd like to suggest a way for new users to easily change their name if they accidentally misspelled it.
1. We could notify them somehow that they can prompt an admin to fix it for them or
2. We could implement a username changer that is effective for 24 hours (time of course is debatable) after they register their account. After that, your username is locked.
Although this is a small issue, I think it will still make it easier on admins/ moderators whenever they decide to clean up the members list.

***TheLastMillennial gets a flashback of cleaning up the members list.
We do offer username changes *cough cough* I've done it. Usually we only do changes for significant things, such as a user matured and would like to distance themselves from their original username. Also, misspellings would be another reason I would edit a username.

If you want to send me a list of usernames that are similar I can take a look to see if they are the same users or separate people.
I would like to change TI84plceBasicPro to TI84pceBasicPro. The very first question I got when I registered an account, was "What does 'plce' stand for?". That was literally seconds after I registered my account.

Done!

This isn't directed at you but to just to amend my first post here: To prevent abuse this is largely a one time deal. Don't ask us to change your username every few months.
I understand admins are willing to do it, but new users don't know that. That was the point of my post, we need to either notify them of this, or have a way for them to change it. Wink

As for that list (Newest names are top link):

There are probably more, but I didn't feel like going past page 7 Razz
Perhaps someone can make a bot instead of going through all this manually?

Different people? The account numbers make it seem like these could be the same person but the e-mails are not similar.

A lot of the times, the username wasn't wrong: they misspelled their e-mail - gmal.com instead of gmail.com - or they registered with one e-mail provider and again with another (i.e. personal & school email).

They could reach out and ask us to rename the profile with their current profile to the one with the incorrect e-mail, but most of the second accounts aren't even activated; I think two out of the seven accounts were activated. We'd certainly help them out though.

Same person. These accounts need to be deleted, they are duplicate accounts of the user Alvajoy.
