What is the structure of AppVars? I want to be able to edit one on my computer and then transfer it over to the calculator. I wrote a program that writes a few bytes to a new AppVar, and then copied the newly created AppVar over to my computer. When I open it with a hex editor, I see that the data I wrote to it starts on byte 50, and then is followed by two bytes, hex 0x67 (lowercase g?) and hex 0x03 (end of text). While the 0x03 makes sense, the 0x67 byte confuses me. Is there any documentation on the format of an AppVar's header?
You can find it here: http://merthsoft.com/linkguide/ti83+/fformat.html Smile

Thank you! Does any utility exist for easily writing bytes to an AppVar, or should I make one myself?

Convhex is your best bet. You can find it here: https://github.com/mateoconlechuga/convhex
