I was in Cesium running a game in TI BASIC when I pressed on, my calc froze so I pushed the reset button then it entered some kind of test mode and I cant get it out. I'v try'd everything (or so I think) I'v sent It programs, the battery's been out for 3 days, and I hard reset it (2nd,+,7,LEFT,ENTER). So what can I do now? Question
The video at the top of this list of videos by TheLastMillennial might help: https://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14760

It's helped me out more than once when I've had trouble with my calculator. Hope this helps! Smile
how can I tell if a test failed(MODE,ALPHA,S)?

does it freeze or clear the ram, on test 7 (RAM SHIP) it froze.
Did the screen go black or did the calculator screen freeze while it was still on? Does it respond to any of the keys?

The calculator screen froze while it was on,it did not respond to any of the keys.
I would try to resend the OS. If you already have a TI 84 CE operating system on your computer, you can send that to your calculator and that should fix the problem.

If you don't already have an OS, you can download whichever TI 84 CE operating system version you like from TI-Planet.

Here's the link to their download page:https://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_list.php?cat=OS+ce
I try'd that, but i'll try it again (Thanks for the help Smile )
...Nothing changed.
I assume when you mean test mode, you mean the test mode where the calculator is disabled so that a user cannot run apps, programs, and other functions, and it also destroys battery life. Thankfully, there is a way to fix this, but it requires the use of a computer and TI Connect CE.

The link below should help fix the problem

This second link gives you information on the problem in case you are interested

Hope this helps you out.

I did that it did not work. Sad
I don't understand how sending a file to the calculator, and an OS reinstall doesn't fix your calculator. Did you delete all memory on the 'send OS now' screen before sending over the OS?

Can you explain exactly what is wrong with your calculator? Is your status bar blue, orange or just normal grey? Can you run programs? Can it still do math? Does it interact with TI Connect CE correctly? Have you tried connecting it to TI Connect CE, going to 'Actions' and clicking 'quit exam mode on connected CE calculators'? Or running some Self Tests?
EDIT: I missed your post about the RAM self test freezing. Seems like your hardware is fine, just try the OS reinstall but make sure to clear all the memory on the 'send OS now' screen.

No all the memory was there, and I sent it many times.

My status bar is blue, I cant run any programs or apps or view any pics. it can still do math it interacts with TI Connect CE correctly. I will try going to 'Actions' (in TI Connect CE) and clicking 'quit exam mode on connected CE calculators. And thank you for the help. Smile
