today i downloaded 801 games from the ti basic section and they are all zipped. and now i have to extract them all. is there a fast way i can do this without having to extract them all individually.
winrar has an "extral all here" and "extract all to individual folders" options from its context menu (select them all->right click)

www.rarlabs.com
alright thanks i will have to try that to save me a lot of time.

That's what I use on my computer - I got tired of WinRAR's nag screen, and I missed the free license day.
7-zip doesn't have the feature he wants. For what he wants, go with WinRar, but use 7-zip for general stuff.
I got the free liscense day - but you don't get the "nag screen" when you do the context-menu's extract/archive methods anyway, so even before the free day it never bothered me
all right i am now that i have to extract them. i have to hold control and click each individually. how do i select them all.

...are you serious? Dude, have you never learned the ctrl-a and shift-click shortcuts???
new ctrl+a but never shift+click
Or even click-drag? Honestly this is one of the more retarded topics I've seen.

Its *become* one of the most retarded topics - it started out surprisingly userful - it isn't something easily google'd

You must have missed it.
There is a Haiku topic.
It is really dumb.
I guess I've become so used to winrar, that the whole idea of extracting multiple files seems like second nature.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but its not something that can be done with the XP built in one, nor with WinZip - nor is it something that is commonly used
What I have to wonder is how he was able to download 801 games (DownloadThemAll?), and how he intends to use them all.
i did use downthemall and i just got the last 485. and i am seperating them into two folders. sucked and fun so that i can have all the best calc games available at any given moment.
