Matrix Shortcut Menu not working on Mathprint TI-84+

In all the time I've owned my TI-84, the Matrix shortcut menu has never worked. It is in Mathprint mode and all the other shortcut menus work (Fractions, YVars, abs(), etc). The MTRX tab is crossed out and cannot be opened. I have tried toggling MathPrint on and off, as well as clearing RAM. I have no idea why this is happening. Any help is appreciated.

I don't have a cable on hand right now, but maybe I can try reinstalling the OS later.
