Hey I really need to know how to do that or at least some help doing it. I have a TI-83, but no graph link. And there are a lot of BASIC programs I want to download, but a lot come with a .83i file, and when I use the converter to translate it, it comes up with the picture and some hexadecimal stuff. I know squat about ASM, so this is like impossible for me. Please help. Here is the one I am looking at right now:

Code:
.db $ff,$ff,$ff,$ff,$ff,$ff,$ff,$ff,$ff,$ff,$ff,$fe

Is it possible to convert that to BASIC?
Well.. yes, but it's no fun.

An 8xi file is a picture, so that's a 96*63 bitmapped image of the display- not a fun thing to create manually. So unless you're really motivated, it's not possible.
ok. oh well. the ti im using is a rental from my school. i'm planning on getting a better version after the years over. hopefully it'll come with a link.
Or you can just go buy a link - its like $20 from office depot or similar.
if i buy a link then the model i getat the end of the year will have to be TI-83(+) oh well. I'm pretty accquanted with it.
If you open the .8xi in the TI Screenshot utility, and you have a decent amount of patience, you can manually draw it out on the calculator by seeing what it's supposed to look like...

Edit: Or just use SourceCoder 2 (http://sc.cemetech.net)

As long as the model you end up getting has a serial link port (every model) and you get a Silverlink, you'll be fine.

Anyway, the 84 models come with D-USB cables, if I recall.
