There seems to be a bug in the folder system of DCS 6.2, it copies files back to the root folder...
...probably because it reset; deleting the non-backup appvar does this... did you possibly clear your RAM?

Yup, exactly. If not, did anything else happen to delete the appvar that holds settings?
Absolutely not (and I'm not the only one having this little problem)
And I thought the folders were stored as:
%FLD<ascii folder number> and not in the appvar. (tracked with calcsys )
I have a TI-84+ running the OS 2.43

Yes, they are, but a RAM Clear will still delete those files. And I thought the folders were stored as:

Yeah it appears your at 123 Days over due Kerm you should at least remove the banner if your not going to have time to work on it.

give him a break with DCS7; life happens... abandoning/neglecting projects is perfectly normal. And if anything, the banner offers up some inside-humor...
btw Kerm, what DOES the backup appvar actually backup?

Basically, settings + some stuff that should be safer than any safeRAM while arbitrary ASM/BASIC programs are executing.
Tried another few times, seems to happen randomly, cuz at first my progs stayed nicely where they should be...

That's really weird. The only thing I can think of - are you using MOS as well? MOS tends to break the DCS folder system. Register to Join the Conversation
