Just throw in the prefab boat code from garage games, or write it yourself from scratch, either way I'd like a better method for doing boats than the wheeled vehicle hack I used for my jetski.
Oooh, I second this idea; we've never really had good boats in any block-themed iteration of the original concept.
semi-realistic airplane code would be nice too. I tried doing this with wheeled vehicles with flying vehicle physics, but they like to stick to ground. I did get some gnarly air time though...
There is a wheeled-flying vehicle resource on GG. I'll look into what they say on the subject of airplanes

also, boats are hard because waves aren't synced between server and client.

have you ever seen a boat that wasn't affected by waves? It looks like crap.


The un-halfass way of doing it is to look into seeding the PRNGs for the waves the same (and making sure they have a uniform PRNG algorithm) across all clients and the server.
