Honestly, I kinda expect a let down, I'm preparing for the worst, and will hopefully be pleasantly surprised. I kinda hope it follows the book properly and includes details.

Do some research on it *Everyone* from the production team and cast are fans, and OSC himself visited the set and only had good things to say. Ditto for my blogger friend who got to do a set visit during production.

I'm still gonna stick in the cautiously optimistic. Most people who worked on Star Wars Episode 1 were fans, and Lucas had his hand right in it.

I know it won't be the movie I want it to be, but I think it will be a movie that I can get behind as a fan.

Also, as far as the Star Wars analogy goes, I think most hardcore fans give Lawrence Kasdan and Harrison Ford more credit for the quality of the original trilogy than they do Lucas (even if the movies required Lucas's creative vision, they needed someone else's story telling). The problem with the new trilogy is Lucas had too little supervision.

Considering that OSC's primary concern in making this film has been story telling integrity (and that's why it's been stuck in development for so long). For me that's a significant indicator towards positive expectations.

Summit just released a 10 sec teaser trailer in advance of next week. Here it is, plus a couple times more in slow motion to really soak everything in.

Wow, a 19 second teaser. Well, I guess that was a teaser.

It looks like how I remember reading it except the rooms are different, but it could be the fact that I read it many years ago and my memory isn't clear on the contents of the game rooms.

They definitely changed up the battle room a bit.

I have no idea what Ender's Game is, but I'll watch anything with Harrison Ford or Ben Kingsley in it. To a lesser extent, I'm also a fan of Abigail Breslin.

Get reading bro.

If you read nothing else this summer, read Ender's Game.

I'm looking forward to this with high hopes. Given Card's personal involvement an all, I expect them to do a fantastic job.
