Unlike the downtime we unexpectedly encountered shortly after March, which was user error, our server host has found a possible defect with the PSU with either our server or this model of server we use. That maintenance is scheduled to happen between 11pm on May 27th to 6am the following day, the 28th, New York local time; roughly (late) Monday evening for the the users in the US and around Tuesday early afternoon for those in or around Europe.
To clarify, the actual downtime will only be for 10 minutes, but we're not sure when in that seven-hour window the downtime will occur. We will be taking steps to restore services like saxjax and Melisma as soon as one of us is awake to deal with it. The Minecraft and UT2004 servers will automatically restore themselves.
Its okay that mantainance will be occuring. It is a small price to pay for having such a great calculator community collected under one roof (or server, depending on how you look at it).

Thanks, glad you enjoy it. We hope to be around for many years to come, teaching (and learning from) more people.
Or just have cron detect they aren't running and fire them up automatically?

Even better use @reboot?
The server reboots once in a blue moon that it doesn't really have a point. The game servers only start and stop for routine saving and for a fresh process; though UT2004 may always be active.

UT2004 has a cron that restarts it if it crashes; it checks once a minute. We have no such guarantees on MC, Melisma, and saxjax for the reason comic said.
Well, it's a non-reason, but okay.
