Official Cemetech Contest #16 Rules:

- Cemetech Contest #16 is not affiliated with or sponsored by Texas Instruments.
- Contestants must be 13 years of age or older, to comply with COPPA restrictions.
- Cemetech does not share any private details collected during this contest with anyone.
- Entries will be judged by an unbiased panel of judges. All decisions are final.
- Entries will be scored and ranked on program binary or source code size (depending on
  programming language), submission date and time, and adherence to the contest rules.
  The winners will be chosen from the highest-ranked entries. The judges reserve the
  right to disqualify or penalize any entry for any reason.
- Contest judges are disqualified from participating in Contest #16.
- While we make a best-effort attempt to secure our hardware and software, we are not
  liable for any fraud, hacking, viruses, or other events that compromise the integrity
  of the contest. We reserve the right to terminate or modify the contest if such an
  event occurs.
- Cemetech Contest #16 runs from 10:00pm ET on March 2, 2016 to 11:59:59pm ET on
  April 1, 2016. All entries must be emailed to contest at this website's 
  domain name before the end of the contest. Late entries will no be accepted.
  Entries WILL receive preferential treatment based on how long before
  the deadline they are submitted.
- All contestants must maintain a topic on the Cemetech Forum specifying the language(s)
  and platforms that they are using for their entry/entries. Contestants can also specify when they
  have submitted their entries and the size of their entries. Contestants may NOT reveal algorithmic
  details that will give away solution(s) to the challenges. We do this to encourage
  contentants to pace themselves and not end up doing all of their programming close to the deadline.
- By entering this contest, either by creating a Cemetech Contest #16 topic or by
  emailing an entry to the indicated email address for judging, you agree to be bound
  by the contest rules.
- Cemetech Contest #16 is not a lottery or a game of chance. All entries will be judged
  on programming skill and merit alone. Only one project will be accepted from each
  contestant; additional projects will be ignored. This is also not a direct mail
  promotion, an instant-win game, or a contest offered in a retail outlet.
- The total retail value of the prizes being offered for this contest is approximately
  $300. The first-place winner will receive either a TI-84 Plus C Silver
  Edition graphing calculator or a TI-Nspire CX CAS graphing calculator, each valued at
  around $140. The second-place winner will receive the other calculator, also valued
  around $140. The third-place winner may receive branded merchandise not yet determined
  with an approximate value of $20. No cash will be awarded, and no prize substitutions
  may be made. Additional prizes with no cash value may be added at the judges'
  discretion. Winners are responsible for applicable taxes, if their state, country, or
  jurisdiction requires it. Our prizes were donated by an anonymous donor, and were not
  purchased at a retail or wholesale establishment.
- This is an informal, lighthearted contest meant to encourage students to learn to
  program and to enjoy programming. Cemetech is currently a community of programmers
  volunteering their time to teach programming. It is not a registered 501(c)(3)
  non-profit organization. Please contact the Cemetech administrators at
  admin at this domain with any concerns or questions. Cemetech is not liable for any
  damages, lost time and productivity, or any other direct or indirect effects of
  entering this contest.
- The winners will be announced no later than 10 days after the conclusion
  of the contest. The names of the winners will be announced using either their online
  aliases (to protect their privacy) or their real names, at the discretion of the
  winners. All winning entries will be described and screenshots shown, so do not
  enter the contest if you don't want your entry to be publicly displayed. We
  encourage but do not require all contestants to submit their entries to the Cemetech
  Archives after result are published.
- As Cemetech is not an organization or corporation, it has no postal address. The 
  administrators' postal addresses may be obtained via electronic mail. 
- Unfortunately, due to the complexities of international law, only residents of the
  following countries are eligible to win Cemetech Contest #16. Residents of all other
  countries are not eligible.
  - The United States of America: residents of the 50 states only
  - The United Kingdom: Pursuant to UK law, this is a contest of skill, not a lottery or
  other game of chance. The information required to be availale in the rules of UK
  competitions is provided above.
  - The Netherlands: Pursuant to Dutch law, this is not a game of chance or lottery. This is
  a contest of skill. The nature and number of prizes, the conditions of participation, and
  how winners will be selected is indicated above. Winners will be notified via electronic
  mail.
  - Canada: Pursuant to Canadian law, all entries are judged on their merits as well-written
  calculator programs, and require significant skill to create. This is not a contest of
  chance or luck. Required contest details are provided above.
