hello guys, i think we should globalize our ways to contact each other!

what do you guys say, either we choose one of the following mentioned above, so that we can at least talk to each other!
or
we can get our own room at irc! what do you guys say!

AIM or MSN is a good choice.
JoeImp said he was going to set up a IRC room for us, but I don't know how far has got.

I think mostly using that irc channel and using msn if you have to ask something quickly or something like that would be best.

Well, I've got it set up for IRC at - irc.chatchannel.org in #UTI, I need some people to go in there so I can get them on auto-op and auto-voice.

I vote for ICQ and a IRC-room in euIRC or QuakeNet.

I don't because I don't use any of those. Can I assume everyone has AIM? Well, that's what my vote is for.

we need a server capable of recieving everyone's input from AIM, ICQ, MSN, IRC, and netmeeting, (and anything else anyone can think of) and sending it back out to everybody on all of those things. or we could just use the forums and see what people use when two actually want to converse at the same time.

I'm more for an IRC room, since I don't have any of those clients (I don't really want any of them anyway). We could set up meeting times for the group in general, and for project cooperation groups, etc.

IRC sounds good, because it seems to be the most universal.

IRC would probably be best. You could access it anywhere without having 2 download any special software.

My question, for MSN or yahoo, can there be groups talking to each other in a room, or is it strictly person to person? If it's only a, then that would be very inconvenient...

MSN allows for multiple persons to chat with each other but you have to add everyone one by one manually. I think we should really go for an IRC channel.

Yahoo! also allows multipule people (called a conference). it has voice chat, web cams, etc.

but, yes, you do have to add the people manually, one by one.
