I use SearchIRC to access IRC
I use net meeting, but expect to connect to me, because my firewall will block you. I have to initiate, or (if your IP doesen't change) I can set the firewall to let you through.

I've been using IRC,and I think i's awesome. It's so much better then AIM and all that stuff. It's really cool.

Well, let's decide on what channel to use. #UTI at chatchannel or #unitedti at quakenet. I went to quakenet and there were a couple users there, so...

But lets be 'united' and pick one and only one to use...

Yeah, if only it actually worked, this week alone I have been hacked through it twice, have had a less than interesting conversation with a couple of crackers (more like script kiddies, bunch of 12 year old losers who know how to download a program that does all the work for them) that felt it nescesarry to send me 10 messages p. second advertising some site. It told me my password was incorrect and it took me an hour to get it to log in under the same username and password (go figure) and since yesterday it doesn't even start up.

Let's just say it would be nice if the contacts I have in MSN used mIRC.

and mIRC is somehow...more secure then msn?

Sorry but I know too many people that have been hacked into by using irc, not to mention the fact my ISP uses an open proxy so the irc servers boot me within 5-10 seconds anyway, irc is not an option for me, it is unlikely that it will be anytime soon.

Has anyone else looked into Jabber?

Or,to make it easier,how bout everyone download Trillian? It has ICQ,AIM,MSN,Yahoo, and IRC. It only works on Windows,though. But if you have a mac(like me) you can download fire.

well, MSN and Yahoo! accounts anyway. i like yahho better becuz it has all the features of MSN, but if you send an offline user a message, yahoo will sent it to them when they come online, and no, not to my knowledge, does MSN do that.

No, with the vacation and everything I find it I spend more time thinking about:
× learning win32 (reading a book)
× work on my comic/site thing (draw some sprite art in paint an type up some html)
× write a mud game/mirc bot
× actually going outside and enjoy myself
But since I'm lazy as hell and my friends actually have things to do I just play games all day, on my own computer. Which, by the way, doesn't have internet access.. even though I bought all kinds of network stuff which should work but doesn't.. oh well.

Worst vacation ever. Neutral

Yes, I joined the channel yesterday but since only the bot and some guy who didn't bother to say anything where there I left. The guy had ops by the way, but I didn't recognize him as being anyone of us.
