I think we should pin a thread in the "Open Topics" area for newcomers to introduce themselves and tell about their hobbies, past projects, etc. 'Might take away some the mystery surrounding our membership (It took me several days to find out who Kerm Martian was). Maybe the current members could post there too.

That's not a bad idea. But it might take newbies a while before they find it, and if they want to introduce themselves, will have probably already started a new topic. But I agree, it would be a good thing to have, even for the current members.

Great idea. So...who wants to start this thing? Is it going to be a whole section, or just one thread?
It should probly be done by a uti member, or I'll do it, whatever.

I was going to write a short intro of everybody on the forums but then all kinds of new people joined and I decided to just write it on the uti members and then I got occupied with other stuff.

I don't know.

Usually, people start their own topic and say hello. I think it best to leave greetings up to the newbies. They will obviously introduce themselves.
