Hey People....
I just noticed that new "Quick Log In" thing. Was it always there or am I going blind?
One thing, though. Don't you think that it should be easier to reach? Instead of putting it in the extreme lower corner of the screen shouldn't it be on the top so lazy people can login quickly (perhaps adjacent to "Welcome Guest ( Log In | Register )" )
One more thing (and this is really pushing it): is there a way to put a cookie in the user's PC so that it saves your username in the quick log-in box and the normal log-in box? THat, of course, would require an option in the User CP to disable that function.
That's all, folks.

that function is called Windows XP, it saves a list of the usernames insterted and automatically gives a dropdown menu if you press the first letter of one of those names. Pressing enter will insert the first option in the dropdown menu.
Press b [enter] and it inserts brazucs16 |

oh.......... [quiet]
I forgot that I disabled that feature a long time ago. It got annoying with all the search queries after a while. But what about moving it to the top of the page? |

Doable, but if your cookies are working it should log you in automatically so you wouldn't need any conviencently placed log in boxes. |

I believe that feature is called "auto complete" or something similar. The browser offers a list of things you've typed in before that match what you're currently typing in (or something like that). I find it very useful when I'm feeling lazy. |

Or whatever browser you're using. |

no, its been there since we started using ipb
also, in ipb 2.0 the quick login box is on the top - just where you suggested it next to the Guest (Log In | Register ) except on the other side of the page. as soon as i finish updating my forums you can check it out at http://dragon-fire.org/forums
not to mention ipb redid the entire skin almost, and i cant wait until uti updates to 2.0 |

We will update to 2.0 when we are ready, and feel that it is ready.
