It seems perfectly flickerless, which is rare.

That's incredible grayscale.  Did you make something new for it, or use existing tools?

If I'm not mistaken he used the greyscale package written by Diederik Kingma of Maxcoderz. http://www.maxcoderz.com

The amazing thing about his package is it's virtually flickerless.

Justin, I thought you were part of the Maxcoderz staff? Are you also part of the United TI staff? Confused

It's perfectly flickerless because it's on VTI.

Not really.

Yeah, he's part of both places. Not quite sure of his position at Maxcoderz, though. It's been a while since I've visited the site.

At Maxcoderz I am merely a member of the programming group. Here I am one of the Administrators.

As for the grayscale, yes I used Diederik's grayscale kit as a base (with his permission) and modified it slightly to run from an application. I managed to achieve grayscale that is nearly as flickerless as the VTI version on my calc. Of course results vary from calc to calc.

Umm, yes really. You just have to set the interrupts correctly. When I run greyscale programs on my calc there is almost no flicker. Razz

Well I've tried all interrupt and contrast settings, and always get a horrible bar effect. So I don't bother with grayscale.

What kind of calculator do you have? Sometimes the SE dones't work quite right with ASM programs, although they do run at reg. 83 speed.

Actually this project is about to be put on hold. In 5 days I'm moving out of my parents house and I will not have a computer nor internet access. I'll be gone for about 4-5 months.
