Actually, I have a bone to pick with TI about that. It appears that there is a flag in the TI-OS, that when reset disallows For, If, While, etc. commands and when set disallows Archive/UnArchive for programs (it's reset on the homescreen and set when running a program, try it and see). The program switches that flag, but it would have been SO much less pointless for TI to just take that flag out and always allow all commands.

ill be darned! it works on the home screen, but not in a program... that stinks really bad

can i put that hex code into the basic prog, or do i have to use 2 progs?

The hex code must be placed in a seperate program. In a basic program the TI-OS does not interpret the hex code as assembler. In fact if you placed it in a basic program without the AsmPrgm preceeding it, the hex code would simply be interpretted as an equation.
