We now have an official Sonic Webpage online that will be used for releasing public information on the status of where we are with this project. Most likely this forum will still be used some, but most of the work is now behind the scenes in our project management tool.

Please stop by and check it out every once in a while for the latest on Sonic.

awesome site, you need to make the sonic sprite a bit smaller and add the Sonic logo in the banner as well though

Hopefully this will help us all make some sence out what we've done in the progress area. Cool

We'll probably post up an update everytime a major graphics breakthrough is done, or we make a decision that affects the game in a big way. To be honest, delevelopment has been a little slow the past 2 weeks because of tecnical difficulties. Things in the physics department should be picking up this week, and once that engine is done, things are really going to explode! Cool

Okay, in case anybody missed it, AlienCC has the latest Sonic 82 screenshot up--filmed on location by PindurTI. Cool

Anyway, the 82 program in our footage is still very much in progress, so there are some weird effects (untouchable surfaces mainly). In any case, it's come a long way since the last movie.

Eventually, after commenting on so many programs of this caliber; one runs out of ways to say, 'That's incredible!'. So I suppose this post will have to do.

Well now that I have a new comp...I will send the backup files I made and dig in for fixing that weird bug I got. There is an old version of the physics code that works but I will sit down and try and get the latest version working better.

I've been meaning to mention it for a while, but the project forum crashed a while ago. When I log in, there's some crazy php jive. The files section looks unaffected.

I was thinking of adding a comprehensive sprite sheet so we could continue translating Sonic's sprites to ".db" formats.

I'll try to fix this later this week, some people don't know how to write proper syntax queries, and the newer version of mysql is a little stricter with enforcing ANSI standard syntax, which leaves me fixing their code.

The projects site is semi-functional at the moment, I'll try to clean up more of the broken code to get it all working again as I have time.

I do realize how old this topic is, but I figured that this still is the best place to ask... is the site officially dead now?

The site hasn't been updated in a while, but its status doesn't reflect that of the actual project.

Most of the updates can be found here.
