I'd prefer an owl over any of your funny looking mascots. I think a mascot for UTI should stand for professionalism and intelligence. What animal is better than the owl for that?

Maybe we should contact drubu, to make a mascot in the style of the banner.

Finally got PS CS2 working. Here's what I've done:

Of course we'd still need to contact Drubu. That background's still looking funky and the letters on the shirt are just for fun.
So, the mascot would go where theh owl is now and, perhaps we could make it in various positions, including:
close up of the head
looking ominous
looking funny
etc...

Where's acc and aww? ::joke drum shot::

I like the serious owl ones. My favorite would be an owl that is part calculator like the sketch, maybe with a color scheme to match the forum colors. Don't use a photo of an owl, make it stylized but serious, not cartoony or comical.

Photographs are hard to represent on a calculator screen, and in general, mascots should be stylized to help people recognize them better. Search for "mascot" in Google images. All of the top results are stylized mascots. I do think that the space background goes well with the overall UTI colors, though a stylized calculator owl might be even more blue and gray.

I like Jacobbus's owl idea, only I think it would be cool to make the owl itself a constellation. I think the c-owl-culator idea is just too weird looking, though. An 83(+)/89 is a good representation of all TI calculators, but an 89Ti might also be cool.

EDIT: A plushie owl with a calculator in front of it would be cool. Or maybe even a Furby Laughing .

That would be hard, but cool. Maybe grayscale on a V200 for maximum resolution and detail? I don't have a v200 however...
