I don't really like Speedway. It's just me, possibly, but it wasn't very fun.

Ok (I don't like it that much either Razz )

What about Fast Lane?

If everyone agrees that I should remove Fast Lane and Speedway, then I will scrap them and put BlackJack in their place Smile

I like Fast Lane but BlackJack looks like it'll be more fun.

I guess it will be using standard rules.

There will be Hit, Stand, and possibly Double Down.

The AI and the player will be given one card up and one card down.
Then the player will be given the opportunity to bet and choose what to do.

You must then bowl your card (if you choose to Hit). The number of pins knocked down plus 1 will determine the card bowled (this is must be done since there is no 1 card and there would be no way to get an Ace otherwise)

I think I will just give random cards to the AI. I won't bother with making the AI bowl the cards.

The only issue that I can see is the suit. Should I leave suit out since it's not really needed? That way I won't have to worry about the number of cards in play. This means that you would be able to have 11 2's if you bowled them consecutively.

Having a realistic possible number of cards might get complicated since you are basically choosing which card you will get when you bowl. Lets say that there are only 4 3's in the deck. If you bowled a 3 for the 5th time, I would have to say "Sorry too many 3's" or something like that.

What do you think?

Suits aren't really needed. To avoid the problem of more then 4 cards, you can make it that the "deck" is shuffled everytime after the card is drawn. Or just ignore it completely until someone complains.

This game is the best hybrid-BASIC game that I have seen... ever... the graphics and speed is awesome - you would think that you are playing an ASM game.

I completely missed this post!
Thanks!

If anyones wondering, I'm still tweaking the game, however I'm having difficultly packing it all into the app again. Laughing
I'm thinking of creating two versions:
1. Current one with updates
2. One with all the arcade games removed, but with BlackJack added.

Here it is Bowling v1.2

[attachment=1918:attachment]

There's a few changes in the game:

You can now foul.
AI is way more difficult. Smile
Graphical modifications.
A secret code. (Hint: When the game records stop scrolling into view, press "." twice and hold it on the second press. While holding "." press "+". You are now a millionaire Smile)
Faster saving.
Save file takes up less memory.
Items automatically pack when you purchase them.
And bit of speed optimization in a few areas.

The compiled app has only 25 bytes free Very Happy That's why it took so long to put this thing together. Every time I added something, I'd have to delete or optimize another thing to make room. I ended up getting rid of the 4 large sprites that were displayed in the arcade game selector. This allowed me to eliminate an entire picture file.

Oh, and if there's any bug/errors/graphic quirks/anything at all, please let me know so that I can fix them.
I'll gladly take comments/suggestions as well, so feel free to post Smile
