If I have been accepted into UTI, why is it that I'm a member and not UTI member? Will it be changed?

We have not seen one as great as this one either.

I found it by visiting almost every forum site on the internet. I could not find one that actually seems faster, so I chose this one.

When you get enough posts, the forum is set up to let you change. BTW, ranks and titles are different.

For your information, you have to make 500 posts before the forum allows you to change your title.

Believe me, that will not take very long. Very Happy

Also, if it is very important too you, or you had a title at Prokul, Calcbasic, Cirrus, or Outer Limit Software, we are flexable and may make a requested change.

I also like the fact that you can keep raising your pip level until you reach 2000 Very Happy Thanks JBirk

I chose 2000 because 500 is too easy to reach. Very Happy

I stopped at 2000 because I do not want to place more than 10 pips by any name.
I chose 10 pips as the max because the "square", "pip", or "star" depending upon what you call it does not take up many pixels, but I doubt everyone is running 1280X1024, so I decided that more than 10 would probably mess up the forums appearance for anyone running 800X600

Did you happen to find this forum at riddleplanet? I've been playing that, and it seems to be the same one.

I do not know where I origionally found the forum software.

I suppose it was last summer when I did countless searches and visited about 20 different forums and tried to figure out the best.
Another good one is vBulliten (cost $), and Php BB (Not as fast)

Ikonboard is okay, but it is creeps in comparison to Invision even when they both use MySQL. YaBB SE appears to have bugs, Mercury Board appears to be a one person project that is extremely interesting, but not extremely professional.

UBB seems to be great, but I do not like the appearance, and it is not extremely fast.

I actually found only one other forum that was as fast as Invision, but it was wrighten in ASP, and uses MSSQL Very Happy It may not surprize you that it is not free and only runs correctly on NT serves. Very Happy

I'm running 800*600 and have room for more than ten pips on the side.
Edit: At least 12 would fit.
2nd Edit: looks like 16 would fit

I still think 10 will be more than enough considering everyone else stops at 5 or 6.

I did some checking on Mercury Board, and found that it now uses PHP and MySQL. It appears to be much better than it was last summer, but still, it does not match Invision.

well, i think it is pretty cool that we can even go up to 10! Jbirk, after we reach 500 and change our title, can we ever, if we decide to, go back to the titles that u earn if u dont change it?

Yes you can still go by the titles according to your pip rank. You simply leave your custom title bar blank. When you can switch your title you will know what I mean.

I think you should be able to choose a custom title and have a rank acording to the number of pips you have.
