I just realized that I had to install the TI Handheld Education Device instead of the USB Driver. Problem solved!

where do i download that?

I uninstalled the calculator from the libusb tab and ran the add new hardware wizard, I chose no on it connecting to the web, then chose no on the search option. I did select the let me locate the file option. It popped up Install TI Handheld Education Device or TI-89, I chose the TI Handheld Education device and it worked!

I called Texas Instruments complaining about that they did not have 64-bit drivers. Can't say I am so very happy about TI atm.

I have been having a problem with my Ti 89 for over as year. Every Ti89 to my laptop. IT has never connected correcty. I see the "TI Handheld Education Device", but I can't get it to connect. I tried the file that was uploaded here. Turned off my firewall and User Account control.
