ROBOT WAR: The Usual Suspects

EDGAR

The Unsung Hero
RWI: Lacking common sense, Edgar has a laid-back, feet-on-the-table attitude that is a source of grief for some. He's an avid skateboarder, videographer, and East Florida party-animal.

Edgar was inducted into the Atlas Institute's prestigious mentorship program at an early age after its founder Dr. Noah noticed his programming skills. Supervised by Noah himself, he joined their clean-energy research program, becoming a noted child researcher.

In the first Robot War, his Air Force parents were called away on active duty. This left him in the care of his older brother Marcus--a grad student at Florida State. Putting his degree on hold, Marcus helped Edgar revive Atlas's "dead end" projects. Their ideas led to an interface that could tie human cognition directly into war robots. Armed with Atlas's robot "Cronus," Edgar ventures out to defend his hometown against a raging horde of super-soldiers and machines.

RW2: After Edgar's adventures were disclosed to the military, his stories remained untold for security reasons and he returned to Florida as a physics student.

Soon after, Edgar and his friends began to acquire enhanced vitality as a side-effect of his old robotic interfaces. Likewise, Dr. Edumund's bionic weapons were leaked to the public, causing an outbreak of special abilities. Lately, people with these “Cybrid” abilities (“cyborg” and “hybrid”) have been disappearing soon after discovering their powers. Sensing a new threat, Edgar journeys to tropical Pearl Island to reunite with his old mentor and seek answers...

Dr. EDMUND

The Mad Professor - Defamed after plotting to weaponize canned food against the poor, Edmund left the Atlas Institute and hasn't been seen since. Decades ago, he was best friends with Noah and the two co-founded the group now known as Atlas. While digging in the arctic, the two discovered the clean energy source chrysaline. Edmund has deep resentment for ideological diversity. Put off by Edgar's fun-loving nature, he instead chose the more hubristic Reed as his apprentice. During this time he somehow perfected chrysaline energy technology but was caught bartering weapons with international warlords. He's most likely fled the country and won't be visiting anytime soon.

REED

The Rival - Reed was inducted into the same mentorship as Edgar and worked with the firm's weapons division with Dr. Edmund. He quickly developed a dislike for Edgar after his peer microwaved fish in his reactor. He once planed to destroy Edgar's "Cronus" as proof of his merit.

Dr. NOAH

The Mentor - While exploring the arctic for new mint flavorings, Noah and Edmund discovered the energy-dense fuel chrysaline. Together, they gained exclusive mining rights to the material. But Edmund's bitterness and other character flaws would soon drive the two apart. After the events of the first Robot War, Noah rebuilt the Atlas Institute on Pearl Island as a fresh start.

Pearl Island Sight-seeing

The Atlas Institute

Founded by colleagues Edmund and Noah, Atlas started as a small geochemical survey company. Their discovery of the high-energy mineral Chrysaline launched the company into huge success. The small firm skyrocketed into a conglomerate spanning scientific fields including robotics, biomedicine, and foot odor cures. (RW2) As psychic abilities became widespread, Dr. Noah directed his company's focus from weapons to bionics to repair the image Edmund had tarnished. Seeking a fresh start, he moved its headquarters to Pearl Island to merge with Oceanside University's med school--becoming sort of a university hospital for the paranormal.

[attachment=3326:jordans.png]

It has come to our attention that your work entitled Robot War: TI features the Air Jordans item. The item's ability to remove the speed penalties for carrying items is identical to our trademarked shoe. We demand that you immediately remove all infringing 0's ans 1's, and notify us in writing that you have done so.

Though not quite "everywhere you want to be," swipe cards have special functions in this game such as carrying money or granting V.I.P. access to restricted areas. Few dare to leave home without it. For everything else, there's Mastercard.

You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? With odd creatures running amok in Oceanside this handy little number is the fashion accessory that always leaves the critics twitching. If only it had a little more range. You know what happens to a sprite when it's struck by lightning? Neither do I!
