Ok so on my math hw this week we had a problem

41x^(-2/3)=1000
and i got it to
x^(-2/3)=24.3902
and then pluged it inot the slover on the ti 83 but is there any way to take x^(-2/3)=24.3902 and simplfy it more

same with
1/(X^2)=8.6956

and

4.72/x^(3/2)-135=o

thanks

I'll give you a hint. X^(1/3) = cube root of X.

i got that and i was able to get through the first few problems compleatly But it is the negatives and the improper fractions that are messing me up
so i guess my question is does x^(-2/3) = negative cube root of x times negative cube root of x (-3√x)*(-3√x) which would actually be (3√x)^-2

and i am totally lost on simplfying the division

Hint: a-b = 1/ab. For example, 4-2 = 1/42 = 1/16 = 0.0625

well this is how i handle negitive fractional powers. The first thing i do is look at the numerator and put the base to that power and ignore negitive AT FIRST. So in your case i would square X. Then i look at the bottom part of the fraction and and then put the new modified base to that root so now we have ³√ (X²). Now we look at negitives. if there is one and only one negitive in the fraction then we put ³√ (X²) to the negitive 1. If both are negitive or neither is negitive then we leave the answer as is. In your case we will put it to the -1 power or put 1 over the answer.

So now we have X^(-2/3)=1/(³√ (X²))
