Hopefully this isnt illegal:
im trying to get a rom dump from my friend's 86. ive downloaded the romdump programs from ticalc, but they sort of dont work. i ran the exe to get the computer to start waiting, and then the calc to start sending, but nothing happened for 5 minutes.

im using silverlink. is that a problem? the program says to type in COM port #, but the silverlink is on usb1, which i typed, but did not work

Which romdump program was it? Some of those ticalc progs only do legacy ports and virtual COMs.

ive tried the others as well, but they dont work either. neither does vti and TILP/TILP(2)

Indeed, ROM dumping failed for me as well on Romain Liévin's 86 using TILP II SVN...
