So today I saw something about the gameboy emulator, so I wanted to try it. I downloaded ndless and the nleash thing to get back to 1.1 from 2.1. Once I ran the ndless thing about a minute in when it wanted to reboot for a 2nd time it stopped responding. The screen is off, I'm plugging it in with USB and my Windows 7 laptop isn't recognizing it, not even with the device connected sound. My Nspire is totally unresponsive at the moment. I've removed the 4 AAA batteries for around 20 minutes and tried the Home+Enter+P+ON thing and even held the reset button on the back for a few minutes. Should I try something with the 84+ keypad in, or is my calculator permanently broken? It said the batteries were at 50% before this whole process, so I don't think the batteries are dead. What can I do?

Did you take the batteries out with the USB disconnected? If the USB is connected to a computer, that might keep the power on.

Yeah I did. Figured out that it was a problem with the batteries, I replaced them and it seems to work now. Only problem is that whenever I try and turn the calculator on normally now (after control+off or it auto turning off) I have to take out a battery for a few seconds before it can boot up, it seems to be a problem with OS 1.1. Now is there any way to fix this new problem?

Upgrade to OS 1.4 or 1.7. From what I hear, ndless 1.7 supports both.

To get ndless 1.7, you need to download the most current version from the public repository (don't know the url off the top of my head) and compile it.
