I'm relatively new at programming TI calculators, and despite a great amount of searching, I can't find any way to create Flash Applications for the TI-89. I have a TI-89 Titanium, and I have no difficulty creating programs, but I can't find any information on tools to add the headers necessary to make applications. With the TI signing keys available, it seems like this shouldn't be difficult to do. What am I missing here?

If you want to program flash applications you could use the SDK called Ti Flash Studio found here:

http://education.ti.com/calculators/downloads/US/Software/Detail?id=178#

However, i would recommend using GCC4TI which can be found here: http://trac.godzil.net/gcc4ti/
or TIGCC: http://tigcc.ticalc.org/

The two latter SDK's are 3rd party tools and are much more optimized and up to date than TI's own SDK, AFAIK.

I do not think it's possible to make flash apps with GCC4TI/TIGCC atm, but you can make C/assembly programs. But that's not a real drawback.

TIFS remains the only way to make FlashApps indeed. But it generates crappy code, it has appalling low-level documentation and built-in emulator, it requires Microsoft ""Java"" (which you need to get from third parties nowadays) and it hasn't been updated in years...

bpogi, could you tell us a bit more about your use case ? On the TI-68k platform, ASM programs are a better tool than FlashApps for a number of purposes.
