In TiLP2, I try to dump my calculator's ROM and it just tells me there was a timeout, that I should check that the calculator is ready and plugged in or some shit, despite the fact that the device displays the ROM dumper perfectly well. It happens every time, I tried changing the USB port it's plugged into. I've had some problems with transferring and refreshing the directory list and so on before, but most of the time I just had to try again or restart it for it to be fixed.
I don't know if the latest software update may have caused it since I just updated the OS before attempting the dump.

I've had trouble backing up the device as well actually, it seems to timeout after a certain point.
This is what attempting to dump the ROM returns: (tilp.exe:2644): ticables-WARNING **: usb_bulk_read (usb_reap: timeout error).
Transferring ROMDUMP, starting the program and all that works perfectly well, but then whoops, supposedly it can't communicate.

I remember dumping my ROM last year but I'm not sure if it was with TiLP or TI-Connect.

I think it has issues if you aren't using the serial port. I used the rom8x program to get mine.

TI-Connect cannot perform ROM dumps, it can only transfer files created with on-calc dumper programs (which is much more work for the user).

Tabarnaco, you didn't tell us which calculator, cable, and TILP II version you're using Wink
