Is utilities for the CG50 dangerous?

This site says that the utilities add-in for the CASIO fx-CG50 is no longer supported and has note been tested on the latest OS version and so could be damaging calculators behind the scenes. Is this likely? Is the add-in safe to use?
I'm using this add-in for multiple years now on my fx-CG50 and so for nothing bad has happened to my calculator. I would consider it to be safe to use.

The only thing I noticed is that some stuff doesn't work, like the function key color changer and lock function. Or that information are missing/wrong in the System information and power information.
Thanks. I've also noticed that the function key colour changer doesn't work although lock seems to work fine for me.
