Application Binary Interface (passing info between C and asm)

Greetings,

For obvious reasons I'm not sure if I should post this on the C thread or the Assembly thread.

I was wondering if the C Toolchain has an Application Binary Interface (ABI) so I can pass info back and forth between C and assembly code. If so, where can I find this information?
