I need something to convert a .wma or .mp3 to .avi or .mp4 format. Any help would be appreciated.
.avi and .mp4 are video formats - why are you wanting sound-only videos?

You can probably get away with just using Windows Movie Maker 2 (get the newest one from microsoft.com)

Heck, I dunno... Grr, I wish this thing was easier to mess with... It says it will play mp3, but I can't get them to load it... I will try to reread the instructions again...

Sounds like he wants to include music in a video of some sort...
it is an mp3 player device... There was something else on the disc, but I have to be online to dl, and it is a fairly large file, so I may have to run to the library again to dl it... >.<

And no, I just need the dumb thing to play music, which it won't show the music files for me to send to it.
I'm gonna assume it can play mp3...
