I'm trying to get Virtual TI to work so I can do some assembly programming, but I can't get a ROM image off my calc. The ROM dumper with virtual TI doesn't seem to work with my link cable (the new Silverlink from the TI Connectivity Kit). Does anyone know of any ROM dumpers for the TI-83 Plus? I've looked all over and I can't find any. Thanks!
You would be better off with PTI as an emulator. You can find a link to it in http://tifrealware.calcgames.org/tutorials/asmresc.htm
Yup, to elaborate on rivereye's statement, rom8x would be the best for this:

Eh, it happens. The important thing is that he found what he was looking for, although it's a shame he didn't switch to PTI.
Maybe I will switch to PTI. When I try to send an .8xp file to the VTI calc, it says "Transmission error". It allowed me to send MirageOS though. Help please? In the meantime I'll try out PTI.
Probably because the file was taken from the original calc out of the archive, and VTI does not support Archive, as far as I know...
Cool, glad you like it. Of course it lacks the interface and everything, but its much better emulation.
VTI2.5 beta supports programs, but not APPS unless it was already in your ROM dump
VTI3.0 alpha supports APPs, but not programs.
In that regard, it can be quite annoying to use VTI. PTI is my preference when it comes ot 83+

Definitely. VTI does not have complete emulation of the z80 core either, for example the execution protection crash that occurs if you try to execute above $c000.
