Is there a good emulator that works with 84+ ROMs? Cuz PTI doesn't...

yep, TILem is just about the only one for the 84+(SE). You might want to get Calc Capture also if you want to screenshot your stuff on it.

Is that a problem? Any linking is to other emulators is done virtually anyway...

No emulator correctly emulates the USB port. Don't forget to install GTK+ before installing TiLem if you don't already have it.
