Sorry to tell you guys this, but another entry is added to the symbol table when you store a formula to a list, and a number is added to the list entry corresponding to it. You just can't view it on the memory menu.
Of course it is, if you examine the table, but the OS doesn't seem to subtract the amount of RAM used for the formula from its own tally of available RAM.
I experimented with this a short time after using string lists in my programs. In fact, after using this technique in my Battleship program, RAM usage was drastically reduced. Too bad I didn't do this when I submitted the program.
