Hey I've been programming in basic for a while, and this is my first time posting so i'm going to try to make my question as clear as possible. i'm wondering if there is anyway to make a basic menu with more than 7 options... and i'm not talking about the user made menu's Those just get annoying to program, i'm wondering if there is any way to manipulate the "menu(" command to show more than 7 options besides adding the option "More".
thanks for your time.

No, not for the Menu( command. That is limited by the TI-OS.

I did just make one, for the graphscreen, however, though it has a slight limitation about it as well. If you want, I can walk you though it.
if you really want to, you could do

Code:
Menu(...More,M...)
lbl M
Menu(....More,M1...)
lml M1
...
start other menu labels then

That will do the trick, but not recommended.
sure tifreak8x walk me through it. But rivereye, i just said i didn't want to put a "More" option down. but thanks anyways.

He just said to have a "More..." option at the end of the menu and chain the menus together. He missed your "besides adding the option 'More'" part of your post Wink
Well, I have to get the newest code up on my site, will happen as soon as I get home (probably hour or so, maybe less).

You can see how far along it is here:

What you need to do to prepare:

Go through your list of options, and put them on paper (The ones you need more than 7 in a menu for). Now count out each word, and figure out the word with the most characters. On the calculator, you write the options out in order, the thing is, you have to put in spaces for the words that do not equal the length of the longest word. This is probably where you are confused now... If not, I will continue in another post.
I get what you're saying ti. Now what? do you have a source code for this?
Download the two files:

http://www.tifreakware.calcgames.org/tifreak8x/textscroll/ABC.8xp

http://www.tifreakware.calcgames.org/tifreak8x/textscroll/ABCE.8xp

Load these to your calculator, run program ABCE, and then program ABC. ABCE sets up the string to use for ABC.

You can take a look through ABC, to see if you understand any of what is going on in the program, so you can see if you need it all explained, or if you need just parts of it explained.
if you download the program, you can look at the source (look in text( scrolling topic)
Welcome to Cemetech, Tralithnar! I shall leave you in the capable hands of TIFreak8x, who seems to have this covered.
Thanks for the greeting, but i have a question tifreak, do you have a raw source code, the usb port on my 84plus se isn't working so i can't send any programs to it, so i'm wondering if you could just give me the source code, or some way to view the source code.
Just run the file through here: http://www.cemetech.net/projects/basicelite/sourcecoder2.php
Thanks, Kllrnohj. An alternate way to remember that url:

Finally i got it up and running, thanks for the help Very Happy I just have one more question, i can't figure out how to download the files on here, when i click on the calculator button right next to the description of the program, all it gives me is a blank page...
Yeah, don't use that. I've been trying to phase it out for over a year. Try one of two things:
